Les Mills November 2010 Q4 filmings + GFX timetable

I know many of you are heading this way in November, so here's the timetable for your reference! Too bad they've scheduled BC, BP and BA filmings in the morning... not sure if I'll be able to make them! If I miss BC47 that will be missing 2 filmings in a row - thank you all for your messages and e-mails regarding my absence for BC46 filming, I know I owe you guys an explanation...

Les Mills BodyAttack 71 Filming

There's something special about Les Mills BodyAttack 71, as two people choreographed this release - Lisa and the baby inside her belly! :) Lisa if you are reading this, did you consult the baby regarding the song selection and chorrey? Why is BA71 so awesome, that I still can't get enough after trying it with you for 2 months?

Another hit from this round of filmings, BA71 features a strong team - Lisa, Fred (Canada), Fabio (Portugal), Grant and the lovely June! Also we have a special guest who was featured in a couple of tracks - Kendall from the US!

Ok something about BA71... the monatomic T1, alpha male T2, T3 with the attitude, sporty T4, T6 that will stay in your head, a soccer + disco feel T7, kicking hard T8 and a T9 full of fantasy..!

Me and Lisa - sorry had to tone down the combat guard.. hahaha

The Best Combat Pose Award has got to go to Kendall - wow you are almost like a NINJA, Ms She-ra!! :)

It's a pity that I didn't have pix with Grant (busy flirting), Fabio (busy back stage action?!) and June (busy low-options)...

Les Mills BodyPump 76 Filming

Les Mills BodyPump 76 is now in the can!! I was totally blown away by this release - I am starting to have doubts if Glen will be able to come up with anything awesome-er to top this release, but I won't underestimate his magic.. :) The stand out tracks for me were the squat, back, tricep, bicep and the shoulder track.

The catchy melody and strong beats of the squat makes the intense workout fun - didn't even notice my legs were sore as I was enjoying it so much.

Watch for the new combo in the back track.

I am sure everyone will be singing to this tricep track - it will remind you of your first time.. :)

For the bicep track, special shoutout to the lovely Emma Barry - watch how she teaches this track when you get to see this release, the queen of darkness will set you on fire! (by the way you look better without the make-up, oops!) Emma you are such an inspiration and a legend in the fitness industry. She's awesome both on and off stage... check out her Saturday regular BP class at 5:10pm @ Les Mills Auckland if you happen to be in town.

The shoulder track is my fav song of this release... it reminds me of all the good time I've had... no one can take the memories away from me and no matter how difficult life may be, I'll always have something to hold onto...

Loved this release from the beginning to the end... on top of that you'll see a strong team presenting this amazing release to you! Please look forward to the DVD - they'll also be showcasing a new line of Les Mills Clothing.

Sorry due to some personal issues I didn't take any pictures for this filming, but I'll steal a couple pix from my friend Amir - the first two were taken in one of the rehersal classes and the last one with Glen, Amir and Susan was taken at the end of the filming.

Lisa's Secret

Ok people asked on facebook why Lisa Osborne committed to quit alcohol and coffee... here's the reason... LISA IS 7 WEEKS PREGNANT! The baby is expected to arrive near X'mas time this year.... guess it's a boy or a girl? :) If you wanna say something to Lisa, please either leave comment here or @ her Facebook Fan Page! .

Les Mills BodyAttack 70 Filming

What a night! still feeling the buzz and still on Attack high few hours after BA70 filming! I wasn't feeling too well today and was about to give the filming a miss, but Lisa Osborne's smiles came into my head and her energy inspired me... remember Lisa kept attacking even few weeks prior to giving birth!... so as a male I can't find s better excuse to miss a great experience... :)

Turned out to be the right decision... energy went through the roof, everyone was smiling and Lisa showed her appreciation not only to the internationals but also the local members. I felt that we are there just because of our passion for the fitness... isn't this what fitness is about? Defnitely one of the best filming experiences during my time at LM Auckland.. :)

BA70 - Welcome to the fitness battlefield, filled with peace and love! This is another great workout that will guarantee the result. BA70 is full of fun and the class just ends too quickly, leaving you wanting more! Lots of great tunes that you can sing along to, creative combos (which was refined extensively during the weeks of trials) and most imporantly there are two tracks which allow you to throw in some BodyCombat options!!! watch out attackers, we are comming after you.. guards up and drive those knees! (kidding :))

Btw I think I saw Tina Osborne... or was I dreaming?! :)

Les Mills BodyCombat 45 Filming

Another great release delivered by the beloved Dan & Rach - BC45 focuses on the kicks and the footworks; for example if you don't already know when executing the frontkicks, you got to kick with the ball of the foot, this release is likely to put you in the right direction. If you don't know how to balance your bodyweight when kicking and how to control your kicks, you might also learn in this release!

Special shoutout to presenter Shaz from Australia, she adapted well and marked great improvement since her arrival. Great job Shaz!

This time for the BC filming only, the "first timers" (and those who pretended to be) got the priority to choose where they want to stand, so the front row was quickly filled up with the "new faces". A tip for the new filming participants - if you want to stand in the front row, you might want to come a week earlier to get a flavor of the new release and familiarise yourself with the choreography (especially for programs like BC that features dynamic movements), so at least you know which direction we are moving towards to in certain tracks.

The reason I bring this up is for example if the front row doesn't shuffle forward when the people behind them are doing so, there will be "safety issues" - I got squashed when the guy standing in front of me didn't want to shuffle forward and person behind then bumped into me. Also by having more practices you'll learn the right techniques... i.e. when executing a certain kick, you don't move backwards... my toe was destroyed today when someone stepped on my foot.

Remember that safety shall never be compromised no matter what rules you want to apply. Filmings are not for showing off yourself... the spot light will always be on the presenters... it will be great if you can learn something from this experience...

Les Mills BodyBalance 50 Filming

Les Mills BodyBalance 50 is a celebration release featuring 10 awesome presenters with lovely costume. You can't go wrong with the "sweet & amazing" Kylie Gates and Emma Barry... their smiles just brighten my cloudy days...

P.S sorry there will not be an update for BodyPump 75 as my camera man didn't manage to take any pictures after the filming finished.. Sheldon and Margo were awesome, Glen is the man who came up with the best lunge track ever..!

Les Mills BodyCombat 44 Filming

Although I wasn't able to attend the filming, I still want to do something to keep you updated... and keep your passion alive. I am sure D&R did it again and another awesome release is on the way... but which version did they pick at the end?! Special thanks to Miko for the photos!

Les Mills BodyCombat 43 Filming

Ying and Yang, bad and good, pirates and samurai and boys and girls.... it's time for another new BC release! BC43 emphasises the contrast between the properties and the moves, and you'll find these in the tracks - such as combinations of power and speed moves (lots to be seen in T3 and T8), katas and explosive combos (i.e T2 and T6), snapping / grapping moves as well as travelling sequences (T4 & T7). You'll be needing more oxygen after a BC43 class!

Dan, Rach, Hernan, Oscar, Judy and Marcus were in the spot light this time and they did an amazing job. Good to have Oscar the combat machine back in Auckland, and the lovely Judy showed us how a true fighter could be found in a beautiful girl like her! Hernan you are the Capitan Concha and good to see you on stage again, you work so hard and you deserve everything you have!
